Forks is in the gravest danger that the small town has ever been in. Large wolves have been reported in the area, but none of them are recognizable. These wolves have also been reported to have rabies, only they are not regular wolves. These rabid werewolves have been killing everything in sight, including two humans from Forks. The Cullens and the Pack have not seen any of these werewolves and do not even know of the situation. The two humans were supposedly taking a hike through the mountains, they were reported missing and later, reported to have been killed by wolves. The Cullens are furious at the Pack, thinking that they did the killings. Alice has seen Bella in the future and then nothing but blackness. Edward and Alice are getting very worried that Bella might change her mind and go to live with the Pack. Only Alice isn’t seeing the darkness of the Pack but the darkness of the rabid werewolves. The Pack is defending themselves with everything they have. Tensions between the two are higher then ever and war can explode at the slightest hint of proof…..but what proof will they find? Will they work together again once they figure out the true cause?

Despite Alice’s worries, she has been organizing a wedding for Bella and Edward. Everyone is trying to avoid her as usual, except Esme. Jasper and Emmett have been doing most of the border patrols and are taking bets about the situation. So far, the two have come up with nothing. Rosaline is trying to make the best of the wedding plans as well, but she has been trying to persuade Bella not to become a vampire. Carlisle however, is more involved in the rabid werewolf case then anyone else. He has been seeing a lot of children coming into the hospital with large scratches and bruises….and rabies.

Sam has ordered extra patrols near the border as well. He knows as well as the rest of the Pack that they have not been the ones to kill those humans. Jacob is getting over weeks of depression in the seriousness of the situation and with the help of Quil and Embry. Paul and Leah however have been stirring up unnecessary trouble inside the Pack. There is also good news however, Emily has become pregnant.

The future is dark and yet light. Which side will win and who will have to die before peace is restored?
